225 MW Duel Fuel (Gas and HSD based) Combined Cycle Power Plant (Bhola-II)

Project Details

The government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh has been adopted a strategy for development of energy sector which envisages private participation and investment in the sector. In line with the country strategy, the Government of Bangladesh decided to implement a new Greenfield 225 MW Combine Cycle Power Plant on Built, Own and Operate (BOO) basis under the GoB’s Independent Power Producer (IPP) programs in Bhola districts, Bangladesh. The Letter of Intent (LOI) issued by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) to Notun Biddut (Bangladesh) Limited vide letter no. 1144-BPDB (Sectt.)/Dev-197 for the development of the project. The project company purchased required land from the owners at competitive market price. Voluntary resettlement and livelihood disruption involved with the project.
